What a wonderful means of communtication this tool has been for our customers to keep track of what is going on in the wonderful world of dry beans! We will strive to keep this site updated on our "Crop Progress" page with the latest information on production & markets of dry beans.

Since harvest began in August 2008, pinto bean markets have fallen. Carryover and 2008 production numbers are weighing on the market at this writing.

Harvest is complete here in Colorado. We had good yields and quality in most of our growing regions. We have been fortunate to maintain good weather with a crop maturity approx. two weeks behind normal.

If you would like to keep track of precipitation amounts in the state of Colorado, the CoAgMet web site has daily summaries of high and low temp, wind, rainfall amounts and etc. that may be of interest to you. Thanks to the folks at Colorado State University for putting this site together and keeping it updated.
