What a wonderful means of communtication this tool has been for our customers to keep track of what is going on in the wonderful world of dry beans! We will strive to keep this site updated on our "Crop Progress" page with the latest information on production & markets of dry beans.

Since harvest began in August 2007, pinto bean markets have made a comeback thanks to corn and other high priced commodities. 2007 US Pinto production in North Dakota / Minnesota will be up due to a slight increase in acreage and higher yields.

We are complete with harvest here in Colorado. We had good yields and quality in most of our growing regions. Weather was a factor in delaying the harvest during the latter part of our harvest.

If you would like to keep track of precipitation amounts in the state of Colorado, the CoAgMet web site has daily summaries of high and low temp, wind, rainfall amounts and etc. that may be of interest to you. Thanks to the folks at Colorado State University for putting this site together and keeping it updated.
